This course exists because the disability sector is full of incredible organisations doing genuinely important work and most of them look like every other provider on the block. Generic logos. Forgettable websites. Messaging that sounds like it was written by a policy clerk from the 80s (the term ‘person-centred’ is older than me).
Often, the language we use are holdovers from the charitable history of this sector; ‘fulfilment’, ‘dignity’, ‘meaningful engagement’ are all selling points of a donation-drive. Not a young and vibrant sector that has a rare opportunity to redefine what disability services look and feel like. If you think dated thinking and word-art style logos reflect your business, no problem, leave now and I’ll refund your money.
If you look at your branding and know it doesn’t reflect what you’re trying to build, you’re welcome. If you wouldn’t be compelled or even engaged by what you’re putting out there then why would anybody else? Good news: you’re in the right place.
Over the next 6 weeks you’re going to build a brand that actually reflects what you do and who you are. Not just a new logo – a complete brand identity, backed by strategy, built to last.
What to expect
- 6 modules dropping weekly.
- Practical exercises at the end of every lesson. Please don’t skip these, it’s where the course magic is.
- A finished brand (or the blueprint for one) by the end.
Before you start
Set yourself up with one place to work – a notebook or a single doc you’ll keep coming back to. You’ll use it throughout the course to capture your thinking and build your brand as you go, exercise by exercise.
